Estilo was formed in Kent and is one of the most celebrated groups working commercially in the UK and afar. Our musicians have performed and recorded with artists including Father John Misty, Lorde, Jess Glynne, Bear’s Den, Rita Ora, Adele, Lana Del Rey, Bastille, Kanye West, McFly, Emili Sande, Michael Bublé, Dizzee Rascal, Leane Lehavas, and London Grammar. Our players have played at festivals such as Glastonbury, End of the Road, Sónar, Latitude, Radio 1 Big Weekends and on X Factor, BGT, The One Show, Later with Jools Holland & Strictly Come Dancing.
Estilo musicians are members of groups including BBC Concert Orchestra, Heritage Orchestra, CBSO and Royal Ballet Sinfonia and freelance with the Philharmonia, RPO, BBC Symphony, LSO, Royal Opera, ENO and on West End shows including Hamilton, Big Fish, Funny Girl, Aladdin, Wicked, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory, Follies, Kinky Boots, Matilda and Wind in the Willows.
We play everything from elegant, classical music by Pachelbel, Bach, Mozart and Vivaldi to modern music arranged for strings. Recently Cooling couples have walked down the aisle to Taylor Swift Shake it Off, Pharrell Happy, Lana del Rey Young and Beautiful, Beyoncé Crazy in Love, Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It), and many more!

In 2015/2016, we released four digital download singles: Fairytale of New York, Come What May, Pompeii and Tenerife Sea all of which graced the top 5 in the iTunes Classical charts and achieved great success. Marriage in an Orange Grove, our debut full length album was released in 2014 on Valentines’ Day – 13 wonderful modern songs arranged for strings by Michelle Taylor-Cohen. In 2018 we released our new album Alternative Tracks – a collection of 12 modern tracks by artists including Radiohead, Bowie and Father John Misty, all reinterpreted for strings.
