2021/2022 Award Season Wrap Up!

Since late last Summer we have been on the edge of our seats as the Wedding Award season has unfolded.

We have been so proud of our Venue and the Winters Barns team as we have jumped from one success to another as each award has been announced.

Throughout the last year we experienced countless rescheduling and throughout the Summer of 2021 saw the highest concentration of weddings the venue has had since opening in 2007. Our team have worked relentlessly to ensure each, and every couple felt secure and at ease within the uncertain circumstances. We stand by every wedding being unique, and our Coordinators truly give their all to ensure you have the day of your dreams.

The Kent Wedding Awards kicked off the season with the deadline for the entry being early October.

It was mid-November when we it was announced we were voted Highly Commended in the ‘Event Team of the Year’ category.

The evening was very different to what we had experienced previously when we last attended in 2019. Back then we won ‘Wedding Venue of the year’ in the gorgeous setting of Mercury Hotel with our glam rags on. Due to Covid still being in high prevalence it was an online stream ceremony. We all watched on the edge of our sofas from the comfort of the home with a glass of bubbly to celebrate!

This truly was a great way to start our Winter wedding season. With the busy year we had, to have the acknowledgement for the staff was the pick me up we needed to keep the spring in our step!

Next on the list was TWIA’s (The Wedding Industry Awards) which is where we really had to call on our couples from the previous year to complete an entry for us.

We don’t get to see what you say but we do get to see who entered for us and honestly, we were blown away with the amount of you who took the time to complete the questions and vote for Winters Barns. It really does hit home how we wouldn’t be where we are now without all you lovely lot!

We were finalists for both categories we entered, ‘Wedding venue of the year- Barn’ and ‘Event Team of the year’ which was a great achievement for us. This was our first year entering this award and although it wasn’t a win for us this year, we will definitely be returning next!

Following this was the Bridebook awards 2022…A great success!

Bridebook judge the venues performance throughout the whole year in terms of enquires, our response time and the amazing reviews you all leave us!

We were thrilled to be announced the ‘Bridebook County Champions 2022’

This amazing news was shortly followed by more!

The Guides for Brides award results were released, and it was another Win!

We won the “Guides for Brides Customer Service Award 2022”

Winning these awards does mean a lot to us as they aren’t based on a single entry, they are based off our hard work all year round.

 

The final award to be announced was ‘The Wedding Inc’ awards.

This was partly judge based and partly public vote!

Some may say best of both worlds and…

We Won!

Thanks to you lovely lot we were announced Best Venue in the South East.

Due to our successes, we had a team meal at a gorgeous local restaurant.

We had some fantastic food and took the time to celebrate together!

We are honestly on a high and feel very grateful to have our amazing jobs in this fantastic industry!

Time to now enjoy our summer season of weddings here at our beloved Winters Barns.
