At Winters Barns, you can have the quintessential Kentish wedding just a stone’s throw from Canterbury’s modern amenities. Winters Barns offers barns that date back to the 1600s, lavish gardens and a secluded courtyard with a charming pond. Inside the barns, you’ll find expansive rooms with vaulted oak ceiling beams, perfect for a reception and an indoor ceremony. Every room is heated, so when you’ve had enough of the brisk winter air, retreat to the warmth and comfort of our indoors.   

This romantic little sanctuary is a product of a father’s love. Owner David Jackson renovated and enhanced the facilities bit by bit but preserved 85% of the buildings’ original structures. The first wedding here was that of David’s daughter. After seeing the perfect occasion, David made Winters Barns available as an official wedding venue.

Everything you need for a stunning Christmas wedding

Winters Barns has everything you need for a magical Christmas wedding. Our ceremony room can accommodate up to 150 guests; when converted to a reception room it can comfortably seat 200 guests. To give the bride and her girls a comfortable place to prepare for the wedding, we have a salon complete with hair and makeup stations, a lounge, kitchen and a shower.

Couples don’t immediately need to go after a long day of festivities. We have a romantic and cosy cottage you can stay in after saying goodbye to family and friends.

You can leave the worries of planning, meals and entertainment to us. We have a dedicated wedding coordinator, superb chefs, reliable service staff, DJ and wedding band. We can also introduce you to local talent to narrow your search for vendors and suppliers.
